This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Excessive heat warnings remain in effect through this evening as
high temperatures approaching record levels for the sixth
straight day. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected as
well this afternoon and evening with with gusty winds and
lightning the primary concerns. A Red Flag Warning is in effect
for several areas due to the dry thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Temperatures will cool a few degrees over the weekend, bringing an
end to the stretch of record setting temperatures. There will be
another round of scattered thunderstorms on Saturday with gusty
winds and lightning again a concern. Otherwise, dry conditions are
expected for much of the new week.

SUNDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 200, 202, 207, AND 486...

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 200 Little
  Snake Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 202 White River
  Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado
  Lower Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 486 Eastern
  Uinta Basin.

* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph Sunday
  afternoon.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 13 percent Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for easy ignition and
  rapid spread of fires due to low RH and strong wind gusts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
