...NEAR RECORD HEAT AND ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY...

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Warmer and very dry air will be over Colorado today. Near record
high temperatures will combine with single digit humidities to
produce elevated fire danger this afternoon. The winds will be
strongest in the northern mountains and northern border areas
where wind gusts this afternoon will be between 25 and 35 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Above normal temperatures with a dry air mass in place will cause
elevated to critical fire weather conditions across the forecast
area during the afternoon hours each day through Monday. If wind
speeds are strong enough some of those days, Red Flag Warnings
will be needed for the appropriate areas.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
