This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong winds will impact the mountains and foothills through this
afternoon with gusts 55 to 70 mph. Gusty winds will extend into
the lower elevations during the day as well, especially west of
I-25 and across the northern plains, with gusts 35 to 50 mph. In
these areas of breezier winds, near-critical fire weather
conditions will be present in the afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

After just slight cooling Tuesday, the warming trend will resume
Wednesday and Thursday. Near record warmth is still expected by
Thursday, when high temperatures push the 80F degree mark across
the plains and I-25 Urban Corridor. Friday could see the return
of near critical fire weather conditions ahead of the next storm
system.

That storm system is expected to reach the area by late Friday
and Saturday, resulting in cooler temperatures and a higher chance
of rain and snow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
