This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to widely scattered storms are expected over and near the
mountains this afternoon into early evening, with heavy downpours
and gusty winds expected with any stronger storm. While the risk of
flash flooding is lower today, impacts to the burn scars, especially
Junkins and Spring, are possible this afternoon.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible across the eastern plains, along
and east of a Kim to La Junta line, late this afternoon into mid
evening. A stronger storm or two capable of producing wind gusts to
around 55 mph and heavy downpours are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

The coverage of rain showers and thunderstorms is expected to lessen
through Friday. Scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms
will remain possible Wednesday through Friday over the mountains and
mountain valleys, with more dry conditions along and east of the I-
25 corridor, though an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm can not
be ruled out. Rain shower and thunderstorm coverage will increase
across southern Colorado starting Saturday and continue through
Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
