This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Brisk southwest winds with gusts of 35 to 45 mph are expected across
the southeast plains late this morning and through the afternoon.
These winds, combined with warm temperatures and low humidity levels
will produce high fire danger across the plains. Care should be
taken with any outdoor activities that could start a fire, as rapid
fire spread is probable.

Isolated to scattered snow showers are forecast along the
Continental Divide this evening, with 2 to 3 inches of new snow
possible by Wednesday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Red Flag conditions will likely occur across nearly all of the
plains and Fremont county on this day. Winds of 20 to 40 mph along
with humidity values of 8 to 15 percent will allow for extreme
fire behavior if a fire were to start.

Snow showers will be possible in the mountains along the
Continental Divide. A couple of inches of snow will be possible,
especially north of Cottonwood Pass.

Marginal conditions for extreme fire behavior may occur along the
Colorado and New Mexico border during the afternoon.

Snow is expected along the Continental Divide. Light
accumulations are anticipated.

Snow will increase over all of the mountains and valleys during
the day Friday. Snow will move onto the northern I-25 corridor
Friday morning and will likely affect all of the corridor by rush
hour Friday afternoon.

Saturday into Sunday morning...

A potentially significant winter storm is forecast to affect all
of the region. Heavy snow is possible along with strong gusty
winds. Please continue to monitor latest forecast for storm

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible across the higher terrain of the Continental Divide
