This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions will spread across Baca county this
afternoon and early evening as gusty south winds combined with low
humidity bring conditions favorable for rapid rates of fire growth
and spread.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will spread across the
Continental Divide and Pikes Peak region this afternoon with
isolated showers and thunderstorms possible across the northern
Sangre De Cristo and Wet mountains this evening. The main risk with
thunderstorms will be gusty outflow winds up to 45 mph and some
brief moderate to heavy rain. Some light snowfall accumulations will
be possible above 12000 feet where local accumulations of 1 to 3
inches will be possible through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Rain and thunderstorms will become possible from Saturday through
Thursday across all of south central and southeast Colorado with
the main hazards being cloud to ground lightning and brief periods
of locally heavy rainfall. A few storms could become strong along
and east of the I-25 corridor particularly on Saturday, with the
main impacts being winds up to 50 MPH and cloud to ground lighting.
Light snow accumulations are possible this weekend in elevations
above 11000 feet.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
