This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Cooler temperatures and rain and snow showers are expected across
the forecast area today and tonight. Light to moderate snow
accumulations, with an occasional heavier snow shower, will be
possible across the higher elevations above 8500 to 9000 feet.
Travel may be difficult at times, mainly over mountain passes.
Scattered thunderstorms are forecast for today and tonight as
well, with cloud to ground lightning and pea size hail the main
storm threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue from
Friday into Sunday, with snow over the higher mountain peaks,
mainly above 10000 feet. Any thunderstorms that develop may
produce occasional cloud to ground lightning and pea size hail.

For Monday through Wednesday, isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms are possible each day, with the greatest chance for
rainfall over the mountains.

be possible over portions of the region.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 14
  inches.

* WHERE...Teller County, The Wet Mountains, The Sangre de Cristos,
  the San Juans, and the central mountains above 8,500ft.

* WHEN...From noon today to 6 PM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially over
  mountain passes. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce
  visibility.
