This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Some light snow accumulations will be possible this afternoon and
evening over the central and eastern mountain peaks. Isolated
thunderstorms will be possible over the central mountains this
afternoon and evening, with lightning being the main threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

On Sunday, the chances for precipitation will increase, along with
a chance for isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms near
the higher terrain. The main threat from any thunderstorms will be
cloud to ground lightning. A few inches of snow will be possible
over the central mountains, over Pikes Peak, and in Teller County.
El Paso County may see an inch or two of snow as well by evening.

Cold air over the area Sunday night and Monday will lead to well
below average temperatures over most of the area. Widespread
precipitation is also possible Sunday night through Monday, and
with temperatures being cold, most of the precipitation is
expected to be snow. Significant snow accumulations will be
possible over the mountains, while the lower elevations could see
a couple to several inches of snow. There is still some
uncertainty as to how much snow will fall, so continue to monitor
the latest forecasts.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible over the higher elevations of the central and eastern
mountains this afternoon and evening.
