This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Slowly moving, and highly efficient rain producing, thunderstorms
are expected to develop over and near the mountains this afternoon
and evening. Flash flooding is possible, especially for areas with
saturated soils, the Chalk Cliffs area, and the Spring, Junkins,
Hayden Pass, and Decker burn scars.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Flash flooding remains a good possibility Tuesday across the
high terrain and portions of the I-25 corridor. Very wet
antecedent conditions could pose issues across the region with
passing showers and storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
likely over and near the mountains this afternoon and tonight.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Flash Flood Watch for the central mountains, central and western
  Fremont County, the Sangre De Cristo and Wet Mountains, the Wet
  Mountain Valley, Huerfano county, the eastern San Juan and La
  Garita Mountains.

* Until 10 PM MDT this evening.

* The Monsoon plume will push eastward and bring another day of slow
  moving, heavy rain producing thunderstorms to the area. Flash
  flooding will be possible, especially considering the already
  saturated soil conditions.  Burn scars will be especially
  susceptible.

* Mud flows and rock slides will be possible in and near burn scars
  and steep terrain. Creeks, streams and normally dry washes may
  experience rapid flooding with damage to roads possible in and
  near these drainage ways.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
