Due to limited instability over the plains, the storms over the plains will be isolated in nature, but we will see more storms over the plains than we have seen over the last few days. The primary threat from storms today will be cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds to 45 mph. Near critical fire weather conditions will be possible over the far southeastern plains later this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will occur over all of the plains tomorrow. Due to dry fuels, a fire weather watch is in effect for that part of the plain along the greater I-25 corridor region for tomorrow. Please do not perform any activity which could cause a fire to start tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms will return to the region Sunday through early next week. Additionally, periods of dry and windy conditions will be possible, and critical fire weather conditions will once again become possible over parts of the region early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight. $$ 10/34
