This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A deep trough of low pressure will move towards the region today and
tonight. This system will bring strong surface winds to the region
starting later this morning and lasting into the evening hours.
Winds of 20 to 40 mph, with local gusts to 50 to 60 mph will be
possible across the plains from late this morning through the
evening hours.

Over the mountains and valleys, it will also be very winds, with 25
to 50 mph, with gusts to 65 mph possible.

Along the Colorado and New Mexico border, one or two thunderstorms
will be possible late this afternoon and evening, and wind gusts to
70 mph or higher will be possible.

Very high elevation snow will be possible, mainly along the
Continental Divide, tonight. Light accumulations are expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday
afternoon along and around the mountains and eastern plains. Some
storms across the eastern plains may become strong to severe, with
the greatest hazards being strong winds and hail.

be possible over portions of the region.
