This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Breezy west winds and dry surface conditions will result in critical
fire weather conditions over the I-25 corridor today, as well as
Crowley and Kiowa Counties. Highest fire danger will be along and
east of gap flow areas, and conditions will be very favorable for
rapid fire spread and intensification. Some areas across the eastern
plains and Upper Arkansas River Valley may also see patchy blowing
gust this afternoon. Airborne dust may reduce visibility and air
quality, and caution is advised when traveling.

Late tonight into early Monday morning, strong winds, gusting to
around 50 mph, will be possible across portions of Huerfano and
western Las Animas Counties. Travel could become hazardous for
lightweight and high-profile vehicles.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Strong winds and very dry air will continue over the area Monday
and Tuesday, bringing high fire danger to many locations, and
extremely critical fire weather conditions to the plains and I-25
corridor both days. Blowing dust may also develop both Monday and
Tuesday afternoons, with very low visibility possible, especially
in open areas east of I-25.

Snow will return to the mountains starting Tuesday afternoon,
with widespread snow over the higher terrain from Tuesday night
into Wednesday morning. On the plains, rain and snow showers will
develop Tuesday evening, and a period of wind driven snow is
possible along the Palmer Divide and eastern El Paso County
overnight into Wednesday morning.

Still another weather system will bring wind, rain and snow to the
region from late Thursday into Friday, with the best chance for
snow over the mountains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
