Rounds of snow will spread into the Sangre De Cristo mountains and the eastern Sawatch and western Mosquito range overnight into Wednesday. Winds will increase overnight with gusts over 50 mph spreading into the higher peaks late tonight and into the adjacent I-25 corridor towards morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Moderate to heavy wind driven snow is expected to continue through Wednesday night across the Continental Divide where strong winds gusting up to 70 mph may cause white out conditions at times across the passes. Travel may become difficult to impossible at times, especially for Wolf Creek and Pass where additional snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 feet will be possible. Isolated embedded thunderstorms may cause localized heavy snow bursts. Additional snowfall amounts of up to 20 inches can be expected across the Sawatch range and the Sangre De Cristo mountains above 11000 feet. An additional 5 to 12 inches of snow will be possible across the La Garita mountains, the lower elevations of the Sangre De Cristo mountains and the western Mosquito range. Damaging winds will spread across the San Luis Valley, Sangre De Cristo and Wet mountains, Wet Mountain Valley, and southeast plains on Wednesday. Westerly winds gusting up to 80 mph will be possible across the mountains with gusts up to around 65 mph across the lower elevations. These strong winds will combine with low relative humidity leading to dangerous fire weather conditions across the southeast plains. And strong winds may cause areas of reduced visibility in blowing dust across the plains. Dangerous cross winds are likely on north-south oriented roadways. Light to moderate snow is expected over the mountains Friday into early next week. The best chances for snow along the eastern mountains and southern I-25 corridor could come Saturday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
