This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible in a narrow
corridor behind a cold front which is projected to stall across the
I-25 corridor and adjacent plains late this afternoon and evening.
One or two storms could become strong to severe depending on how
quickly moisture increases behind the front. Should sufficient
moisture be in place, hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter, wind gusts
up to 60 mph and even an isolated tornado will be possible across
portions of El Paso, Pueblo, Crowley and Otero counties between 3 PM
and 8 PM. If moisture lags behind the front, or if the front slows
down, then storms will be considerably weaker.

Another round of thunderstorms will be possible across the southeast
plains late tonight into the early morning hours. Hail up to 1 inch
in diameter and wind gusts to 60 mph will be possible across the
southeast plains after midnight depending on how this thunderstorm
complex evolves.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Moist low level upslope flow will keep the potential for scattered
showers and a few embedded thunderstorms in place across southeastern
Colorado Monday morning, with isolated to scattered afternoon showers
and thunderstorms for areas over and near the southeast mountains
later Monday afternoon and early evening.

Upper level ridging will build back across the Rockies Tuesday
and Wednesday, leading to temperatures warming back to above
seasonal levels once again, along with more isolated afternoon and
evening showers and storms expected through the middle of the next
work week. More widespread thunderstorms will be possible Thursday
and especially Friday and Saturday, as another cold front looks to
move across eastern Colorado into the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible across the southeast plains late this afternoon through
tonight.
