This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Very isolated shower activity is expected across the central
mountains today, with any new snow accumulation anticipated to be
generally less than an inch and restricted to the higher elevations
of Lake and Chaffee counties.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Elevated fire weather concerns will be present over the San Luis
Valley on Saturday, and over much of the eastern plains on Sunday,
due to dry surface conditions and gusty winds. However, fuels are
still green enough to mitigate the need for any highlights.

Showers are expected over the peaks of the central mountains
Saturday afternoon and evening, with a few embedded thunderstorms
possible. A few storms may drift as far east as the Palmer Divide,
though possible impacts remain low outside of gusty outflow winds
and lightning. Precipitation coverage will increase across the
mountains on Sunday, lasting through the night and into Monday.

An incoming low pressure system will spread precipitation over most
of our forecast area Monday and Monday Night. The cooler and wetter
conditions will last through Tuesday morning, after which we enter
another warming and drying trend into the middle of next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
