This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Snow will continue tonight as another storm system moves across
the region. The heaviest snowfall will impact the Wets and Sangre
De Cristo mountains where 4 to 9 inches is expected. Snowfall
amounts of 2 to 6 inches is expected across a large swath of the
southeast plains, mainly along and south of Highway 50. Locally
higher amounts will be possible under the heavier embedded snow
bands, especially along the Highway 50 corridor. Expect
deteriorating travel conditions this evening as snow intensifies
and gusty north winds increase causing some areas of blowing snow
across the plains. The Thursday morning commute will be slick and
snowpacked across most of southern Colorado

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Some light snow and flurries are anticipated to linger into Thursday
afternoon over the Sangre de Cristos and Raton Mesa, but only minor
additional accumulations are anticipated.

The next round of accumulating snow is expected Saturday into
Sunday, starting over the Continental Divide before spreading to the
eastern mountains. Precipitation may start as rain over the lower
elevations before mixing with, or changing to all snow on Sunday.

Another chance for accumulating snow for the mountains arrives
Monday into Tuesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
likely tonight across most of southern Colorado.
