This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon in and near
the mountains. The main risk with thunderstorms today will be
localized gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph and lightning.
Thunderstorms will diminish after 8 PM.

Meanwhile very hot temperatures can be expected across the region
today with temperatures topping out between 100 and 105 across the
southeast plains. Take care to avoid overheating and dehydration if
you are spending time outdoors.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

There will be a daily chance for thunderstorms to develop across
the region through the extended period, with the main threats
expected to be wind gusts to 45 mph, small hail and cloud to
ground lightning.

More widespread convection is anticipated for Friday and
Saturday, and a few of the storms on Friday may become strong to
severe, producing damaging wind gusts, large hail in excess of one
inch in diameter, and even an isolated tornado.

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
