422 AM MDT Mon May 25 2020

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across
the higher terrain and Interstate 25 corridor this afternoon,
roughly between noon and 6 PM. These storms will be capable of
producing cloud to ground lightning and wind gusts to 45 mph,
while a few of the stronger storms will be capable of producing
hail up to one half inch in diameter.

A lighter northeast steering flow today means that any storms that
do develop may move slowly and back onto the higher terrain, which
could be problematic for area burn scars. A very slight risk for
flash flooding means that developing storms will need to be closely
monitored.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday
through Sunday, mainly over the mountains and high valleys and
along portions of the Interstate 25 corridor. However, there may
also be some isolated storms over the southeast plains Thursday
afternoon. The main storm threats will be cloud-to-ground
lightning, and wind gusts up to 45 mph, although some stronger
storms may also produce small hail.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria will be possible
across the higher terrain and Interstate 25 corridor this afternoon
into the early evening.
