This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over portions of the plains
will persist through late evening as they push eastward, with the
greatest hazards being gusty winds and lightning. Otherwise rain
showers will continue over parts of the higher terrain through mid
to late evening. Any precipitation present late this evening will
then lessen in coverage and intensity across south central and
southeastern Colorado.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Dangerous heat continues on Monday, with daytime readings in the
upper 90s to around 106 degrees across the plains.

Showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous from Monday
through the end of the work week. Showers and thunderstorms are
expected to return to the plains with severe weather possible for
the I-25 corridor eastward on Tuesday into Tuesday night. The
primary threats Tuesday will be damaging winds, large hail, and
flash flooding. Several more rounds of thunderstorms are expected
into the late week with a threat of flash flooding each day.

* WHAT...High temperatures are expected to be 97-103 degrees each
  afternoon.

* WHERE...El Paso, Pueblo, and Canon City Vicinity/Eastern Fremont
  Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM to 6 PM MDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
