This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing locally
heavy rain are expected over parts of the region this afternoon into
this evening. The best chance for heavier rain showers will be over
the mountains, valleys and the southern I-25 corridor region.
Funnel clouds are possible once again over the plains, but are not
expected to reach the ground, but may cause little to no damage if
they do.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Daily afternoon and evening rain showers and thunderstorms will
persist through this week and into the weekend. Heavy rain and
lightning will be the most likely hazards from these storms.
However, increased moisture and slow-moving storms will enhance the
flooding potential but mainly over burn scars, or localized areas
that have received repeated rounds of rainfall. While confidence is
still low at this time, signals continue for potential strong to
severe storms across parts of the eastern plains during the later
half of this upcoming week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.

...Heavy Rainfall and Possible Flash Flooding...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the I-25
corridor this afternoon and into the evening hours. The risk of
severe weather is low at this time, however, heavy rainfall can be
expected with any shower or thunderstorm. Under the strongest
storms, torrential rainfall could lead to localized flash
flooding, especially for flood prone and low lying areas.

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around, don`t drown.
