This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the plains, with
the strongest storms occurring over the far eastern plains. One or
two severe storms possible across the far southeastern plains,
mainly across the Baca County region. the primary severe weather
threat will be hail up to one and a half inches in diameter, and
strong wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph.

Across the southern mountains, high based thunderstorms will be
possible, with the main concern being gusty winds.

All storms today will be capable of dangerous cloud to ground
lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

As warm temperatures persist through the Holiday weekend, high
and fast flows can be expected across area rivers and streams due
to melting snowpack, especially across the eastern San Juan
mountains and into the San Luis Valley.

Daily chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms
are expected to persist through the period, with an overall
increase in coverage by late in the period. Excessive rainfall
will be possible from Friday through Sunday

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
