This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light to moderate snow is expected to continue over the mountains
and high valleys into tonight. Additional accumulations of 5 to 9
inches, with locally higher amounts possible, are anticipated for
the eastern San Juan, La Garita, Wet, and Sangre de Cristo
Mountains. An additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is anticipated for
the Mosquito and Sawatch Ranges and Wet Mountain Valley, and an
additional inch or two is anticipated over Teller County, San Luis
Valley, and along I-25 near the Walsenburg area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A strong upper storm system will bring widespread snow showers to
much of southern Colorado, from Monday into Tuesday. Snow will
initially start over the higher terrain, and spread southeast
Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning. Several inches may be
possible over the Eastern Mountains, with a couple of inches
possible on the Plains. A few rumbles of thunder may be possible
over the Mountains on Monday. Strong winds are possible on the
Plains behind a cold front Monday afternoon, with northeasterly
winds gusting to near 40 mph, which may produce areas of blowing
dust.

Active weather looks to continue from Wednesday into Saturday with
periods of snowfall and thunderstorms, mainly over the Mountains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
likely over the mountains and high valleys this afternoon and
tonight.
