This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light snow will continue this morning across the southern mountains
and along the I-25 corridor and southeast plains mainly north of
highway 50. Any accumulations will remain light with a dusting to
under 1 inch.

Another round of heavier snow will spread into the mountains this
afternoon and across the southeast plains tonight. Snow will be
locally heavy at times, especially east of the mountains, with
snowfall amounts ranging from 2 to 5 inches across the plains along
and north of highway 50, to 1 to 2 inches across southern areas. The
banded nature to the snowfall will mean snowfall amounts could be
highly variable across short distances. The southern mountains
could see between 3 and 8 inches across the Eastern San Juans and
southern Sangre De Cristo mountains. The remainder of the area will
see lighter amounts with accumulations of an inch or two, and up to
4 inches across the higher peaks.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Moderate snow continues into Wednesday morning for most areas,
particularly across the high country, and on our plains along and
east of highway 50. Blowing snow, degraded visibilities, and snow
covered roads will likely lead to dangerous travel conditions for
Wednesday morning, with improving conditions throughout afternoon
and evening hours. Very cold conditions are expected for Wednesday
night and Thursday morning, with most of our plains and mountain
valley locations falling into the single digits below zero. Those
outdoors should seek shelter for Wednesday night. Another round
of snow chances arrives late week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
