Snow could be heavy at times, especially for the southeast mountains and southern Interstate 25 corridor. Slick, snowpacked roads and poor visibility due to blowing snow are forecast overnight along the Interstate 25 corridor. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Snow and slick conditions continues through the day Wednesday before tapering off from north to south Wednesday evening, with snow totals of 8 to 16 inches expected across the Sangre de Cristo and Wet mountains, and the Wet Mountain Valley. Snowfall of 5 to 10 inches is expected across the Central and Southwest mountains, with 3 to 8 inches of snow across the Pikes Peak and Palmer Divide region, as well as across the southern I-25 Corridor and northern portions of the San Luis Valley. Lesser amounts of 1 to 3 inches will also be possible across the rest of south central and southeast Colorado by Wednesday evening. More storm impacts may be possible Thursday through Saturday, although uncertainty exists on the track of the storm system and amount of cold air associated with it, leading to uncertainty on precipitation amounts and type for the end of the work week. There remains the possibility that portions of the southern mountains and plains to receive significant precipitation, including heavy snow, leading to possible significant impacts to travel across portions of southern Colorado.
