...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5
  inches with locally higher amounts. Winds gusting up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Litchfield County.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to overspread the area this
  afternoon and continue into Thursday morning then transition to
  upslope snow showers Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.
  Localized snow squalls may be possible Thursday morning. Gusty
  winds on Thursday may lead to blowing and drifting snow.

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, western
  Massachusetts, and east central and eastern New York.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 10 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
  There will also be areas of blowing snow, which could lead to
  travel difficulties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
