Scattered thunderstorms may contain damaging wind gusts or perhaps spotty hail late this afternoon through late evening. There is a small risk that thunderstorms become a bit more widespread, in which case damaging wind gusts could be a bit more numerous. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Heat index values may approach 105 between noon and 8PM Friday. More numerous thunderstorms are likely Friday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may contain damaging wind gusts or large hail. The chance of thunderstorms is increasing for Sunday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may also be severe. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
