As of 6 am, patchy dense fog has continues to spread from Lake Okeechobee to the Treasure Coast northward through rural Osceola county. A few locations are reporting visibility as low as one quarter mile, with fog spreading along I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Dense fog will continue to spread towards Vero Beach, Melbourne and Kenansville prior to sunrise. Additionally, light showers over northern Lake and Volusia counties continue to shift southeast this morning spreading across northern portions of the greater Orlando area and northern Brevard County. $$

Traffic cameras indicate some dense fog has formed over portions of Martin, Okeechobee, Indian River, Osceola, and Saint Lucie counties. Visibilities are below one mile along Interstate 95 in spots. Patchy dense fog may continue in these areas through mid morning before visibilities improve. If you`ll be out driving this morning, be prepared to encounter reduced visibilities from dense fog. Consider leaving early to allow yourself extra time to safely reach your destination. When driving in dense fog, reduce your speed, use only your low beam headlights, and leave extra distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you. $$ Sedlock

Patchy fog will be possible over parts of east central Florida into mid morning, especially across the interior. The fog could become locally dense especially near smoldering brushfires, and reduce visibilities to less than one mile in some locations west of Interstate 95. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... A Moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents will continue at the beaches of east central Florida today. A northerly wind building down the coast this afternoon will produce an increasing longshore current along the local beaches. Strong rip currents are also likely near piers, jetties and reefs. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard and never swim alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Small craft should exercise caution if venturing into the offshore waters tonight, as northeast to east winds are expected to increase up to 15 to 20 knots beyond 20 nautical miles. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. Winds will increase out of the east on Sunday, before shifting to the southeast and south late on Sunday night and into Monday. This is expected to produce poor boating conditions at times offshore through Monday night.
