...MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FOR ALL ATLANTIC BEACHES...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Thunderstorms: Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are
expected over the interior and west coast metro areas, mainly in the
afternoon. A few thunderstorms are possible over the east coast and
Atlantic waters. Some of the storms could become strong. Primary
impacts will be gusty winds, lightning strikes, and locally heavy
rainfall.

Rip Currents: Moderate Risk for rip currents today for all the
Atlantic beaches.

Waterspouts: Waterspouts are possible in the Gulf waters with showers
this morning. Waterspouts are be possible across Lake Okeechobee
with the strongest storms through this evening.

Wind: A few strong thunderstorms are possible over the interior and
west coast. The stronger storms will be capable of producing gusty
downburst up to 50 mph.

Flooding: Flooding of poorly drained areas is possible over the
interior areas with the thunderstorms. Particularly some areas that
have received up to 3 inches of rain the past two days.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon with lightning, gusty
winds, and locally heavy rainfall possible.

An elevated risk of rip currents will remain into at least early next
week along the Atlantic beaches.

Spotter activation may be needed. Please relay any information about
observed severe weather to the NWS while following all local, state,
and CDC guidelines.
