...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following
  counties, Brevard and Volusia.

* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 916 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving showers
    and thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of
    southern Volusia County and northern Brevard County,
    particularly along and west of Interstate 95. Minor flooding
    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Scottsmoor, Mims,
    Maytown, Aurantia, Turnbull and Glencoe.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
