* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
  For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 7
  feet expected in the surf zone.

* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Mainland Northern Brevard and
  Northern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties.

* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through late tonight.
  For the High Surf Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to 4 AM EST
  Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

High surf will affect the beaches in the advisory area, producing
localized beach erosion and dangerous swimming conditions.
Swimmers should remain out of the water due to large breaking
waves and dangerous surf conditions.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Florida.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

.HIGH WIND IMPACT...
Winds will be become breezy to windy along the Atlantic coast this
afternoon and tonight. Gusts up to 30 to 35 mph are expected along
the Space and Treasure Coast during the evening and overnight
hours.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A high risk of life-threatening rip currents exists at all
central Florida Atlantic beaches. Entering the water is highly
discouraged. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t
swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following
the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or
wave for help.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect from Cape Canaveral to Martin
County today and will begin north of the Cape this evening. The
High Surf conditions will last through the day on Tuesday. The
high surf and battering waves can knock you down and make you more
susceptible to being caught in a rip current.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
Easterly winds will continue to increase through this afternoon
and tonight up to 25 knots with seas building to 9 to 11 feet
offshore. Marine conditions will be hazardous to small craft
operators.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
The St. Johns River continues a slow decline, remaining in
Moderate Flood Stage at Astor and in Minor Flood Stage near Lake
Harney, Deland, and Sanford. Interests along the St. Johns River
near these points will continue to experience minor to moderate
flood impacts for the foreseeable future.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Strong easterly winds will cause hazardous beach and boating
conditions into mid week. A High Surf Advisory is in effect on
Tuesday, with rough surf expected to continue on Wednesday. A
high risk of rip currents is forecast into mid week.

Breezy to windy conditions are expected for coastal areas on
Tuesday and Tuesday night. Increasing moisture will bring the
risk of locally heavy rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.

along the St. Johns River at Deland should continue to expect
prolonged flood impacts.

For the St. Johns River...including Deland ...Minor flooding is
forecast.

  forecast.

* WHERE...St Johns River near Astor.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, Water approaches or may enter lowest homes
  on or near Wildhog Road and nearby canals. Flooding reaches the
  parking lot of the Juno Trail Apartments. Flooding on portions of
  Alligator Road and Holiday Road. Lowest lying yards along Blue
  Creek are flooded. Roads at Astor Landing Campground and Lake
  Dexter Boat Ramp begin to flood. Water enters lower homes closest
  to the river on McPherson Lane.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:30 PM EST Sunday the stage was 3.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:30 PM EST Sunday was 3.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to very slowly decline
    through Moderate Flood Stage this week.
  - Flood stage is 2.3 feet.
