THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
A line of scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms are
forecast to develop along and ahead of a cold front this
afternoon into this evening across central Florida. Isolated
strong to severe storms are forecast, mainly to the north of
interstate 4 which will be capable of producing damaging wind
gusts up to 50-60mph, hail up to 1" in diameter, heavy rainfall,
and cloud to ground lightning strikes.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Isolated to scattered lightning storms will be capable of
producing wind gusts of 35 mph or greater this afternoon and
evening.

.TORNADO IMPACT...
The potential for a brief tornado exists this afternoon and into
this evening across western Volusia and Lake counties.

.HIGH WIND IMPACT...
South to southwest winds are forecast to increase this afternoon
with gusts up to 25 to 30mph into the overnight hours along the
coast, as well as across Lake, Volusia, Seminole, and Orange
counties.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
There is a Moderate risk for dangerous rip currents at east
central Florida beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never
swim alone.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
South winds 15 to 20 knots nearshore and 20 to 25kts offshore are
forecast to increase and veer northwest overnight at 20-25kts (up
to 30kts over the Volusia county waters). A Small Craft Advisory
goes into effect at 10am for the offshore Volusia and Brevard
county waters, before extending to the rest of the waters
overnight. Seas build up to 3-5ft nearshore and up to 6-7ft
offshore.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
The Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to slowly fall through
Action Stage into early next week.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
Poor to hazardous boating conditions continuing across the east
central Florida Atlantic waters into early next week. High
pressure building north of the area and a tight pressure gradient
will continue hazardous marine conditions across the east central
Florida Atlantic waters during the middle to latter part of next
week.

A Marginal Risk for Excessive Rainfall exists late this week,
mainly along and south of Melbourne.

Spotters should monitor the weather and self activate if needed.
