...High Risk For Rip Currents: Atlantic And Gulf Beaches...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Marine: Seas up to around 7 to 10 feet will be possible across the
Atlantic waters today. For the Gulf waters, seas generally range from
5 to 8 feet.

Rip Currents: A high risk for rip currents across all Atlantic and
Gulf beaches.

Wind: Breezy conditions will develop across South Florida today.
Peak wind speeds will be around 20 to 25 mph sustained with 30 to 35
mph gusts possible, especially along the immediate Atlantic coast.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

The high risk for rip currents will likely extend through the end of
the week and into the weekend as a northeasterly swell lingers
through this period.

Hazardous marine conditions should diminish over the weekend as
winds gradually weaken with time.

Breezy conditions will continue across South Florida through the end
of the week. Peak wind speeds will be around 20 to 25 mph sustained
with 30 to 35 mph gusts possible, especially along the immediate
Atlantic coast.

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County and
  Coastal Miami Dade County.

* WHEN...Through at least this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
