...Heat Advisory: All of South Florida...
...Scattered to Numerous Showers and Thunderstorms This Afternoon...
...Moderate Risk of Rip Currents Palm Beaches...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Heat: Peak heat index values of 108 to 112 degrees will be possible from
late morning into the afternoon across most of the area. A Heat
Advisory is in effect for the entire area from 10AM to 6PM today.

Thunderstorms: Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected
this afternoon across South Florida, with the highest chances over
interior and SEFL. These storms will be capable of producing heavy
rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds.

Flooding: With slow moving storms containing heavy downpours, there
will be the potential for localized flooding mainly over low-lying
and poor drainage areas, particularly portions of the East Coast
metro.

Waterspouts: A few waterspouts cannot be ruled out today across the
local waters.

Rip Currents: There is a moderate risk for rip currents along the
Palm Beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible daily, with primary threats
of gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Peak heat index values will remain elevated on Sunday, and may reach
advisory criteria in places.

The risk for rip currents will likely be elevated for the Atlantic beaches
Sunday into early next week as northerly swell moves into the area.
Minor coastal flooding will also be possible during high tide cycles Sunday
into early next week due to the enhanced northerly swell and king tides.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
