...Heat Advisory For Portions of South Florida...
...Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms This Afternoon...
...Minor Coastal Flooding Possible During High Tide...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Heat: Triple digit heat indices will be felt across the region today
with forecasted peak values of 104 to 107 degrees fahrenheit this
afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Miami and Broward
counties from 10am to 6pm today.

Thunderstorms: Scattered to showers and thunderstorms are expected
this afternoon across South Florida, with the highest chances over
interior and southeast Florida. A few storms could become locally
strong to marginally severe. Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and
frequent to excessive lightning is possible with any storm today.

Waterspouts: There is the potential of waterspouts across area waters
today.

Coastal Flooding: Minor coastal flooding associated with enhanced
astronomical tides (King tides) will continue to be possible during
todays high tide cycles.

Rip Currents: There is a high risk for rip currents along the Palm
Beaches today and a moderate risk of rip currents along the Miami-
Dade & Broward beaches today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible daily, with primary threats
of gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Peak heat index values will remain near 105 degrees through the
early week period.

There will be an elevated risk for rip currents for the Palm beaches
through the mid week period as continued high amplitude northerly
swell moves in. Minor coastal flooding will also be possible during
high tide cycles throughout most of the week due to the combination
of northerly swell and king tides.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail, and
flooding to the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.
