...High Risk of Rip Currents for the Atlantic Beaches...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic, Biscayne Bay, South
Florida, Gulf of Mexico and Lake Okeechobee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Marine: Gusty winds behind a cold front will result in building seas
and hazardous marine conditions over the local waters. Small Craft
Advisories are in effect for both the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico
waters.

Rip Currents: There is a high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic
coast beaches, and a moderate risk along Gulf coast beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Hazardous marine conditions will continue over local waters through
the weekend.

Elevated rip current risks for both coasts will continue into
the weekend, with high risk of rip currents for the Atlantic
beaches.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM EST THIS MORNING
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach, Coastal Broward and Coastal Miami-
  Dade Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM EST this morning through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
