...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Coastal Indian River, Coastal Saint Lucie, Coastal
  Martin, and Coastal Brevard Counties.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs. Entering the surf is not advised.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A high risk of life-threatening rip currents continues at area
beaches, as well as rough surf, especially near and north of Cape
Canaveral.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
While northwest winds continue slow tonight, seas and swell remain
elevated. Hazardous boating conditions will persist over the
coastal waters, especially offshore, through tonight.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
The river level at the Saint Johns River at Astor remains in
Minor Flood Stage and is approaching 2.4 feet, due to northerly
winds. The river is expected to continue to slowly rise tonight,
remaining in Minor Flood Stage, before decreasing Sunday night
into Tuesday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
Boating conditions will remain poor into Sunday morning, as seas
up to 6 feet linger offshore. A Moderate to High Risk of
dangerous rip currents will continue at all east central Florida
Atlantic beaches through the remainder of the holiday weekend.
Rain chances will remain below normal through early this week, but
isolated afternoon storms will still be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed tonight.
