THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A small, but very long period swell will continue in the local
surf zone and will produce a High Risk of life-threatening rip
currents at all central Florida Atlantic Beaches tonight. Rough
surf will also exist.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
Seas will build 4 to 6 feet over the Gulf Stream. Easterly winds
tonight will increase to 15 to 20 knots over the Gulf Stream.
Small craft should Exercise Caution across the offshore and Gulf
Stream waters. A long period swell could also make conditions
hazardous near inlets during the outgoing tide.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
Poor boating conditions are expected to continue well offshore
through late week, along with a Moderate risk of dangerous rip
currents. A slight chance for lightning storms will exist late in
the day on Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed tonight.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and rough surf expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Indian River, Mainland
  Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier Islands, Mainland
  Southern Brevard and Southern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
