Scattered thunderstorms are expected across central and portions of north Georgia this afternoon into tonight ahead of an advancing cold front. A couple of storms may become strong to severe, with damaging winds or hail being the main threats. Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will also be possible with any stronger storms that develop. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday... Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Sunday afternoon through Monday. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
