Periods of heavy rainfall will remain possible Saturday through Sunday in western Georgia, which could lead to continued flash flooding and flooding concerns. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, northwest, and west central Georgia,
including the following counties, in central Georgia, Crisp and
Dooly. In northwest Georgia, Carroll. In west central Georgia,
Chattahoochee, Coweta, Harris, Heard, Macon, Marion, Meriwether,
Muscogee, Pike, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Troup,
Upson and Webster.
* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected
through Sunday morning with localized amounts of 3 inches
possible in more persistent bands.
