This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Georgia...east central Georgia...north central Georgia...northeast Georgia...northwest Georgia AND west central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

A developing low pressure system will approach the area
late tonight into early Thursday. As a result winds will begin to
increase through the overnight hours into early Thursday becoming
very gusty...particularly in the higher elevations of North
Georgia by early Thursday. Wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph are possible
late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

Strong winds gusting 30 mph to as high as 50 mph will be possible
early Thursday across Northern Georgia. These strong winds may
cause downed trees and powerlines...particularly in the higher
elevations. A wind advisory is in effect beginning 2 AM Thursday
through 6 PM Thursday.

Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged
to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to
weather.gov/atlanta.  Please relay any information about observed severe
weather to the NWS while following all local, state, and CDC
guidelines.
