A Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday morning across portions of north and central Georgia, roughly along and north of a line from Troup county to Banks county. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall will bring 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts of up to 6 inches by Thursday morning. Minor flooding of rivers, creeks, and streams is likely. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday... The Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning. Scattered thunderstorms and periods of heavy and persistent rainfall will be possible Wednesday through Thursday. Some of the storms on Wednesday into Thursday could be strong, and an isolated severe storm will be possible in west central Georgia. Severe storms that develop may produce damaging wind gusts.
