...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN...Until 415 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 119 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain showers over Oahu.
    Rain was falling at a rate of up to 2 inches per hour. These
    showers are slow moving and will be drifting toward the north
    over the next few hours. Additional heavy showers will likely
    develop over the next few hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Waipio, Wahiawa, Wheeler Field, Mililani, Schofield Barracks,
    Kunia, Waikele, Waipahu, Pearl City, Waialua, Haleiwa, Aiea,
    Waikane, Waianae, Waiahole, Punaluu, Nanakuli, Makakilo,
    Hauula and Halawa.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...All the main Hawaiian islands.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of
  streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along
  with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff.
  Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A kona low developing north of the state will bring the
    potential for  heavy rain and thunderstorms over portions of
    the state from Wednesday through Friday and possibly
    continuing through the weekend. The highest chances for
    excessive rainfall appear to be over Oahu and Maui county
    later Wednesday and Wednesday night, then slowly shift
    westward, with the focus mainly on Kauai by later Friday.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Remember that it does not have to be raining at your location for
flash flooding to occur. If you notice signs of heavy rain or
thunderstorms upslope, move quickly away from flood prone areas.
