* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...All the main Hawaiian islands.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of
  streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along
  with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff.
  Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A kona low developing north of the state will bring the
    potential for a prolonged period of heavy rain and
    thunderstorms over portions of the state from Wednesday
    through Friday and likely continuing through the weekend.
    Bands of heavy rain will bring a potential for significant
    flooding, especially in leeward areas.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE
ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 306 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over portions of
    windward and southeastern Big Island, where rain was falling
    at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Heavy showers are nearly
    stationary over Pahala, causing rapid water rises in Paauau
    Gulch. Additional heavy showers are also near Hakalau, while
    more widespread moderate rain prevails elsewhere.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Honokaa, Volcano, Glenwood,
    Mountain View, Papaikou, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park,
    Keaau, Hawaiian Acres, Pepeekeo, Honomu, Orchidlands Estates,
    Hakalau, Ninole, Laupahoehoe and Wood Valley.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

This advisory replaces the previous advisory that was in effect for
the island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.

persists.
