This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Severe storms are possible today through tonight. Damaging wind and
hail are the primary threats, and tornadoes are a secondary threat.
Heavy rainfall is also expected, which will add the potential for
localized flash flooding and river rises.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Thunderstorm chances linger into Wednesday. At this time it
appears the severe weather threat with these storms is low.
However, flooding and flash flooding will remain a concern until
the storms exit the area and any high water areas subside.

Additional rounds of storms are possible Thursday night through
Friday, then Sunday night into early next week. Details on these
later storms will become clearer in the coming days.

Hot and humid conditions are expected this weekend, particularly
Friday and Saturday when heat indices may exceed 100 degrees.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed today into tonight.
