...Gusty Wind and Lower Relative Humidity May Cause Elevated Fire
Weather Conditions This Afternoon...

WHAT...Gusty wind from the south will persist this afternoon. The
wind will be sustained at 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to around 40
mph. The wind may cause localized blowing dust, especially over
open fields. In addition, elevated fire weather conditions may
occur due to these winds and dry conditions.

WHERE...Along and north of Highway 20.

WHEN..Through 7 pm.

IMPACTS...Unsecured outdoor objects may be blown around and smaller
tree branches may break. Visibility may be reduced due to blowing
dust. Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly.

PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS...Use extra caution when
driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle on
east/west roads, and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions
and reduced visibility. Burning is discouraged.
