The prolonged nature of the heat and the lack of cooling at night will increase the risk for heat related illness for those without effective cooling or hydration. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside.
