This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

There will be a chance for scattered to isolated thunderstorms
this afternoon and evening, mainly along and north of Interstate
80. Some of these storms may be strong with hail and gusty winds.
There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5 for severe storms
across portions of extreme east central Iowa into northwestern
Illinois Thursday afternoon and evening.

Area tributary rivers and lower portions of the Mississippi River
are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements
and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

An active stretch of weather is expected across the Midwest
beginning early next week, with daily chances of showers and
thunderstorms possible. At this time, it is too early to
determine the risk of severe weather.

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon across
northwestern Illinois.
