This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Strong westerly winds with gusts of 40 to 50 MPH are expected
this afternoon into early this evening. A Wind Advisory is now in
effect across the entire outlook area through the evening. These
strong winds will lead to an elevated fire danger for late this
afternoon through this evening, as well as hazardous driving
conditions, especially for high profile vehicles on north to south
oriented roadways.

An isolated thunderstorm will be possible this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois and east central and
  northeast Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles on north to south oriented roadways. Use extra
caution.
