  The Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or From Walnut Creek...to
  the Des Moines River.
* Until late Thursday evening.
* At  5:45 PM Friday the stage was 16.2 feet, or 4.2 feet above Flood
  Stage.
* Flood Stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...rise to 17.2 feet, or 5.2 feet above Flood Stage,
  Saturday morning. Then begin falling and go below Flood Stage late
  Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 17.2 feet, Water overtops portions of Fleur Drive.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the area. Please
refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Thunderstorms are possible today, especially towards central and
southeastern Iowa. A few storms may be strong to possibly severe,
with large hail and damaging wind gusts the main threats. Heavy
rainfall may also increase flash flooding and river flooding
risks.

River Flood Warnings are in effect for parts of the following
rivers in central Iowa: Des Moines, Raccoon, Iowa, and Cedar. Please
refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Outside of a brief break around Sunday, periodic thunderstorm
chances are expected into early next week, including Memorial
Day. Some storms may be strong to possibly severe, especially
later Saturday and later Monday. Flash flooding and river
flooding risks will increase through the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed off and on through the Memorial Day
weekend, especially today, Saturday, and Monday.

* At 12:30 PM Friday the stage was 13.0 feet, or 0.5 feet above Flood
  Stage.
* Flood Stage is 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...continue falling and go below Flood Stage late this
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, The low end of the dog park on Hubbell
  Avenue is threatened.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...rise to 26.9 feet, or 2.9 feet above Flood Stage, after
  midnight tonight. Then begin falling.
* Impact...At 25.7 feet, Water surrounds the base of Simon Estes
  Amphitheater.
