This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Hot temperatures in the lower 90s, combined with dewpoints in the
lower 70s, will create heat index readings of 95 to 100 this
afternoon. The area of concern will be south of Highway 34 in
southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri, and western Illinois.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected late tonight. Isolated
severe storms are possible with large hail the main risk.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Thunderstorms are likely Sunday into Sunday night ahead of a
strong cold front. The Storm Prediction Center has an Enhanced
Risk for severe thunderstorms across much of the outlook area.
The main threats from these storms will be golf ball size hail,
damaging winds to 75 mph, and isolated tornadoes in super cells
and bowing segments.

Spotter activation will be likely Sunday into Sunday night.
