People with respiratory illnesses, older adults, and children should limit prolonged outdoor activity. There is a chance for thunderstorms late tonight in Iowa and Illinois, north of Highway 30. The main risk will be lightning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY Additional wildfire smoke may be drawn to the surface on Tuesday. This may cause some issues for people with respiratory illnesses. Tuesday through Wednesday, scattered thunderstorms will accompany a slow moving cold front. However, severe storms are not expected.
