This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Smoke from wildfires in eastern Canada is expected to be drawn to
the surface today and tonight. People with respiratory illnesses, older
adults, and children should limit prolonged outdoor activity.

There is a chance for thunderstorms late tonight in Iowa and
Illinois, north of Highway 30. The main risk will be lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Additional wildfire smoke may be drawn to the surface on Tuesday.
This may cause some issues for people with respiratory illnesses.

Tuesday through Wednesday, scattered thunderstorms will accompany
a slow moving cold front. However, severe storms are not expected.

Saturday night and Sunday, there is another chance for thunderstorms
along a cold front. It is too early to determine the severe
weather threat.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
